The Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, MSME, and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, has expressed concerns regarding members of the People’s Alliance Party attempting to establish a new political party ahead of the upcoming General Elections.
Kamikamica has publicly reaffirmed his strong support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. In his statement, he urged those considering a breakaway to resign immediately.
He stated, “You have no respect for the sacrifices we’ve made in securing stability for our democracy. You’ve shown no respect for the tens of thousands of Fijians who voted in faith for the Prime Minister and the People’s Alliance vision.”
Kamikamica emphasized that these members are disregarding the efforts made by the Party to maintain stability in Fiji’s democracy. He stressed that there is no place for instability or personal agendas that undermine national unity.
He also vowed that attempts to destabilize the government and the party would encounter strong resistance. “To those keyboard warriors and rumour-mongers, good luck and goodbye,” he remarked.
Kamikamica reiterated the coalition government’s commitment to ensuring that Fiji remains a stable and prosperous country for future generations. He noted, “The work we are doing now is laying the groundwork for economic growth, social unity, and a stronger future. We will not allow anyone to derail that vision.”
He concluded with a unifying message: “Together, we will move forward. Together, we will build the Fiji we all deserve.”
