The Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, MSME, and Communications, Manoa Kamikamica, has expressed his concern regarding certain members of the People’s Alliance Party who are attempting to establish a new party ahead of the upcoming General Elections.

Kamikamica has openly declared his strong backing for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka. In a recent statement, he called on those interested in forming a new party to resign immediately and leave the party.

He stated, “To them I say, you have no respect for the sacrifices we’ve made in trying to secure stability for our democracy. You’ve shown no respect for the tens of thousands of Fijians that cast their vote because they believed in the Prime Minister and the People’s Alliance vision.”

Kamikamica emphasized that these members are disregarding the efforts made by the party to maintain stability in Fiji’s democracy. He underscored the necessity for unity and a lack of tolerance for personal agendas that threaten the nation’s cohesion.

He added that any attempts to destabilize the government and the party will be met with steadfast determination. “To those keyboard warriors and rumor-mongers, good luck and goodbye,” he remarked.

The acting Prime Minister affirms that the coalition government is dedicated to ensuring that Fiji continues to be a stable and prosperous nation for future generations. “The work we are doing now is laying the groundwork for economic growth, social unity, and a stronger future. We will not allow anyone to derail that vision,” Kamikamica stated.

He concluded by affirming the collective effort, saying, “Together, we will move forward. Together, we will build the Fiji we all deserve.”
