Kalaveti Ravouvou, the talented centre from the Flying Fijians, has extended his contract with the Bristol Bears, ensuring his stay with the club. The 26-year-old from Nadroga made a strong impression in the Gallagher Premiership after moving to the Bears from Fijian Drua in the summer of 2023.

Ravouvou has quickly established himself as a key player for Bristol, having scored seven tries since joining, with standout performances in 2024 including two tries against both Northampton Saints and Leicester Tigers. One of his most remarkable displays was during a record-breaking match against the Tigers, where he recorded an impressive 230 meters with the ball, beating 10 defenders and completing 18 carries.

With four international caps for Fiji to his name, including his debut against Ireland in the 2022 Autumn Nations Series, Ravouvou is on the rise in rugby circles. Bristol Bears’ Director of Rugby, Pat Lam, praised Ravouvou’s talent, highlighting his versatility and crucial role within the squad.

Ravouvou expressed his enthusiasm for remaining with Bristol, noting his enjoyment of the club’s culture and the style of rugby played, which he believes complements his strengths. His commitment to the Bears adds a positive note to the team’s future, as they look to build on their successes and continue developing their players.

This contract extension not only reflects the confidence the club has in Ravouvou’s abilities but also signals a bright future for the Bristol Bears as they aim for greater achievements in the Premiership. The synergy between the player’s skills and the club’s environment promises exciting prospects for both Ravouvou and Bristol in the seasons to come.
