Kaiviti Silktails football analyst Erami Vuleka has emphasized the significance of the preseason in providing essential experience for both players and coaching staff as they gear up for the forthcoming rugby league season. The training sessions have offered an excellent opportunity for players to enhance their skills in a competitive league setting, guided by the expertise of coaches Port Greg Wilson and Nick Potter, which has been instrumental in helping players navigate this transition.
Vuleka noted that while some players have quickly adapted to the league’s demands, others will benefit from additional practice sessions to fully find their pace. He expressed enthusiasm for the progress made so far in the preseason, stating, “It’s been a boom break so far, and I’m looking forward to whatever comes next to help grow footy in the region.”
In addition to on-field activities, the Silktails are planning off-field initiatives before Christmas and New Year, ensuring that players continue to develop personally and professionally.
The team also made headlines earlier this week with the unveiling of a new logo, symbolizing their identity forged through adversity, resilience, and the unyielding Kaiviti spirit. Under the leadership of Chairman and NRL legend Petero Civoniceva, along with Executive Director Stephen Driscoll, this new emblem reflects a team that remains steadfast in its mission and determination, embodying a story of strength and unity as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
