Sivoni Ligaiviu, a dedicated educator from Kadavu Provincial Secondary School, is expressing his gratitude for the blended classes offered by Fiji National University (FNU), which enabled him to obtain a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) in Industrial Arts. Living in Kadavu presented challenges for him, but FNU’s online classes made it feasible for him to pursue his studies from his home.
Hailing from Solotavui Village in Kadavu and having familial connections to Waitovu Village in Ovalau, Ligaiviu is passionate about enhancing his professional qualifications. He stated, “I’ve always made it a point to upgrade my qualifications. As a teacher in Kadavu, graduating today was made possible through the online classes offered by FNU.”
Ligaiviu’s ambition doesn’t stop here; he has commenced postgraduate units, with the aspiration of eventually obtaining a PhD. “It’s important to continue upgrading my qualifications. I’ve already started my Postgraduate units and my goal is to one day earn a PhD,” he remarked. He hopes to complete his postgraduate qualification by December of next year.
