Last night, a man from Navua was taken into custody by the Fiji Police Force after being found in possession of illegal drugs during a thorough search of his home. This operation was conducted in collaboration with the Fiji Dog Detector Unit (FDDU) and involved the use of a search warrant to facilitate the investigation.
K9 Herb, a specially trained drug detection dog, played a crucial role during the operation. His ability to identify specific areas of interest led police to uncover a total of 171 dried plants believed to be marijuana. These plants were hidden in various locations throughout the house, including beneath a mattress, inside a bedroom wardrobe, and under the kitchen table. The suspect remains in police custody as investigations continue.
