A man suspected of involvement in a theft was apprehended by the Police Dog Unit during a patrol in Lautoka yesterday.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, reported that K9 officers were conducting a patrol on Drasa Avenue when they encountered a woman who had fallen victim to a theft in which her mobile phone was taken.

The officers promptly tracked the suspect, a 25-year-old man, and successfully recovered the stolen mobile phone. ACP Driu noted that the suspect, who has a history of offenses, is currently in custody at the Lautoka Police Station while investigations are ongoing.
