A 50-year-old man is scheduled to appear before the Nasinu Magistrates Court today facing charges of allegedly indecently assaulting an 8-year-old child, who is his relative. The alleged incident occurred on April 7, 2025, inside the child’s home, where the accused reportedly warned her against disclosing the incident to anyone.
Fortunately, the young victim found the strength to confide in a neighbor about the incident, prompting the neighbor to notify the police. As a result, the accused has been charged with one count of indecent assault and will face legal proceedings today.
