Junior Kulas Gear Up for Thrilling Match Against Tonga!

Digicel Fiji Junior Kulas head coach Marika Rodu is confident in the team’s preparedness for their inaugural match against Tonga in the upcoming Oceania Football Confederation under-16 Women’s Championship. As they enter the final week of training, Rodu is satisfied with the girls’ fitness and overall condition ahead of the tournament.

The team has concentrated on enhancing their offensive and defensive tactics in anticipation of the match against Tonga, and they are looking forward to the upcoming challenge. Rodu acknowledges that the first match against Tonga will be tough, as such matches typically are.

“It’s well underway and we’re nearing the end of our preparations, trying to taper things down. I believe the girls are in good condition and ready for their opening game against Tonga,” Rodu stated. He added, “We don’t expect the match against Tonga to be easy, since the first match is always challenging, but the goal is to settle in and play our game.”

Rodu remains hopeful about the Junior Kulas’ chances, expressing his desire to secure a win and earn three points against Tonga. The OFC U16 Women’s Championship begins tomorrow at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, with the match scheduled for 3 PM. Teams will compete for opportunities to qualify for the FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup in Morocco next year.
