Junior Koya’s Impressive Comeback: TKO Victory Sparks New Ambitions

After a two-year hiatus from boxing, Junior Koya secured a victory over Jone Tagimei by technical knockout. Tagimei’s corner decided to stop the fight in the second round due to blood appearing on his nose, and he informed his coach that he could no longer continue.

In an interview, Koya expressed his excitement about his return to the ring, stating, “It feels incredible to be back in the ring and to win like this. I’ve been training hard and working on my skills during my time away, and I’m thrilled to see that it all paid off.” He credited his fitness to farming, which he described as both a form of training and self-reflection.

Looking ahead, Koya acknowledged the areas he needs to improve in order to achieve continued success. “I’m looking forward to getting back into the ring and continuing to improve. There’s a lot more I want to achieve, and today was just the beginning,” he said.

In another match, Shafir Maqbool claimed victory by default against Sakaria Talatu.
