The Junior Bula Boys are set to commence their campaign in the OFC Men’s U-19 Championship today with a match against Tahiti.
Head coach Marika Rodu, speaking from Apia, conveyed the team’s excitement and readiness for the game. “The players are highly focused and motivated, eager to step onto the field and give their best performance,” said Rodu.
Rodu emphasized the significance of leading their pool and outlined the team’s objective to secure a victory in their opening game. “It’s important for the team to lead the pool from our side, so it starts with business in our first game. The players also enjoyed their training session in Samoa and are in a positive mindset for the upcoming challenge,” he stated.
Acknowledging Tahiti’s strength as opponents, the coach highlighted the confidence and determination within his squad. “The players are aware of what is at stake, and we are prepared to give our all on the field.”
The two teams are scheduled to play at 11 am in Apia, Samoa.
