Juice Fiji, a homegrown beverage company established in 2019, has recently made a significant move by securing a distribution partnership in New Zealand. This expansion enables the company to introduce its health-focused drinks to a new audience, particularly among the Fijian community abroad, in major cities like Auckland, Hamilton, and Rotorua.

The founder, Panapasa Daunakamakama, shared that the push for export was largely driven by demand from Fijians living overseas who wanted to see their favorite local products available in international markets. “As we were doing our local marketing, the requests started flooding in, especially from people in New Zealand and Australia,” Daunakamakama stated, underlining how important community feedback has been to their growth.

In a recent milestone, Juice Fiji shipped 5,000 bottles to its New Zealand distributor, showcasing the rising demand and receiving commendable feedback from customers. The products are not just ordinary juices; they are crafted using nutrient-rich ingredients like ginger, turmeric, beetroot, watermelon, and black pepper, designed to enhance gut health and overall wellness.

Juice Fiji has utilized its success locally, with its beverages already being sold in major supermarkets across Fiji. Daunakamakama expresses gratitude for the support received from local businesses and regulatory bodies, which has been crucial in their journey toward economic empowerment and supporting local farmers.

Looking forward, the company aims to diversify its product line and promote more involvement from young Fijians in innovative food processing. “Our hope is to expand offerings that benefit our farmers and community while contributing positively to Fiji’s economy,” Daunakamakama indicated.

Kamal Chetty, the CEO of Investment Fiji, commended Juice Fiji’s recent success, illustrating the potential of local Fijian businesses on the global landscape. “It’s a perfect example of successful Fijian entrepreneurship meeting the growing appetite for local products in foreign markets,” he stated.

With this positive momentum, Juice Fiji not only marks a significant accomplishment for itself but also represents a hopeful future for many other Fijian enterprises aspiring to flourish internationally.
