A recent operation involving the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Fiji Detector Dog Unit (FDDU), and Divisional Operations Team led to the arrest of three individuals in Nadonumai. The joint task force executed two raids in the area, during which they discovered what they believe to be marijuana, stolen gadgets, and equipment likely used for packaging illicit drugs.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, indicated that the arrested men are currently in custody at the Lami Police Station as inquiries continue. He emphasized the importance of such operations, especially during the festive season, to disrupt criminal networks and intensify pressure on drug operations.
ACP Driu also highlighted the crucial role of community involvement, encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activities by contacting Crime Stoppers at 919.
This proactive approach reflects a commitment to maintaining safety and order within the community, showcasing the importance of collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the public. By working together, we can contribute to a more secure environment as the festive season approaches.
