The NewWorld Suva Netball Association is currently registering teams for its upcoming Business House competition. A total of 24 teams are expected to participate in the event, which will last for 10 weeks. So far, 10 teams have signed up, but the association is urging more companies to join before the registration deadline next week.
Raijieli Rabitu, the association secretary, noted that participation has been slow due to the busy schedules of many business teams. She emphasized that the competition’s primary objective is not about competitiveness, but rather about promoting a healthy lifestyle and offering individuals a chance to relax and have fun.
“We aim to have 24 teams by next week. The focus of the competition is for people to come out and enjoy themselves, rather than compete. It’s an opportunity for employees to step away from their work routines, engage in physical activity, and build new connections and friendships,” stated Rabitu.
Businesses in Suva and Nausori are encouraged to register as entries are still being accepted. Matches will take place twice a week over the course of 10 weeks, providing participants with an enjoyable and engaging experience.
