Former Flying Fijians flanker Johnny Dyer has secured an extended contract with the French Pro D2 club Biarritz, which will keep him at the club until 2027. Initially set to expire in June of this year, Dyer’s contract was renewed following a successful recovery from an Achilles tendon injury he sustained during a preparation match against Bayonne last year.

Club director James Coughlan expressed his enthusiasm about the extension, emphasizing that Dyer’s presence is beneficial for the team’s future. “His extension is excellent news for the club, and we know that he will continue to fly the BOPB colors high over the next two seasons,” Coughlan stated on the club’s official website.

Since joining Biarritz four years ago, Dyer has established himself as a vital member of the team, demonstrating both on-field skills and off-field leadership. Coughlan praised Dyer as “an outstanding striker and a great ball carrier,” highlighting his commendable fighting spirit and his contribution to team morale.

This contract extension not only reflects Dyer’s recovery and skill but also signals Biarritz’s commitment to building a strong team dynamic moving forward. As Dyer continues to thrive at the club, there is optimism for both his personal growth and the club’s success in the coming years.
