John Rabuku has been appointed as the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, a role he will officially take on starting August 14.
Nancy Tikoisuva, the Acting Director of Public Prosecutions, stated that the appointment process adhered to established procedures, which included an independent panel tasked with selecting the most qualified candidate.
The position of Deputy DPP had been vacant since the passing of David Toganivalu, who held the role in 2010.
Tikoisuva praised Rabuku’s extensive experience and familiarity with the office, noting that his presence will enhance the office’s strength and capacity.
