Jerry Tuwai, a double Olympic gold medalist and a silver medalist, is set to make his comeback on the rugby field at the upcoming McDonald Coral Coast Sevens. He has been chosen to represent the legendary coach Mike Friday’s Sevens Select team. Tuwai will be joined by notable players, including former South African star Rosko Speckman and Ireland’s Harry McNulty.
The McDonald Coral Coast Sevens will also witness an influx of international teams, enhancing its prestige. New entrants include the Bula Bay 7s team from Tauranga, New Zealand, and the Seattle Barbarians from the United States.
The tournament is scheduled to take place at Lawaqa Park from January 16 to 18, promising an exciting showcase of talent and competition.
