Veteran Michael Jennings from the Sydney Roosters will join the Vodafone Fiji Bati for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Championship. At 36 years old, Jennings previously represented Tonga in the last Rugby League World Cup and adds significant experience to the 21-member squad, which is currently without several key players due to injuries.
The Bati will see the return of Kevin Naiqama alongside Maika Sivo, Waqa Blake, Tui Kamikamica, and Viliame Kikau, as well as Premiership winner Sunia Turuva.
Fiji will host the Papua New Guinea Kumuls in their opening match on Saturday, October 19th, at the HFC Bank Stadium, starting at 8:10 PM.
