Seremaia Namaralevu Naureure, known by his stage name ‘Jaymaiah,’ is stepping into the spotlight as a new gospel solo artist with a mission to inspire others through his music. Well-acquainted with Fiji’s music scene, Jaymaiah began his journey with Yanu Boyz, a band that achieved significant success with the hit song “Noqu Dina,” boasting over 3 million views on YouTube.

At 25, originating from Moturiki in Lomaiviti and with maternal roots in Serea, Naitasiri, Jaymaiah is not only a singer, but also a songwriter, composer, and has expanded his skills to include roles as a recording engineer and producer. His interest and talent in music were cultivated from a young age, influenced by a family environment rich in musical tradition. His father played a crucial role, having been a part of the band Cagi Mudre ni Delairoro and later, the gospel group Blessed.

Jaymaiah’s transition to gospel music was quite natural and swift, moving from his role in Yanu Boyz to joining the gospel group YHWH Brothers. He describes this shift as a calling, emphasizing the importance of using his talent to honor God. Currently engaged in mission work in Darwin, Australia, Jaymaiah has released his debut gospel single, “Holy Ghost Power.” This song seeks to remind listeners of their divine identity and the power of God’s truth in their lives.

Throughout his career transition, Jaymaiah has drawn inspiration from established artists like Vilimone Lote of Dokidoki Gospel, who, similar to Jaymaiah, made a successful shift from secular to gospel music. Despite the challenges of garnering continuous support, Jaymaiah relies on his faith and the unwavering encouragement from his parents, siblings, and close supporters in Australia to sustain and grow his musical voyage.

Jaymaiah hopes that his music will serve as a beacon of hope, uplifting spirits, and bringing encouragement to those who feel disheartened. With a focus on positive impact and connection to cultural roots, he embodies the universal language of music as a transformative force.
