Jarryd Hayne’s Shocking Potential Rugby League Return!

Jarryd Hayne, a former NRL star, could be making a dramatic return to rugby league as Wise Kativerata, the coach of Fiji’s national team, has initiated discussions about Hayne potentially joining the squad for the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Since last taking the field competitively in 2018, Hayne’s possible resurgence is creating significant excitement. Kativerata has confirmed that the opportunity remains available for the 36-year-old to return to elite rugby league.

“The door is open for him if he wants to join,” Kativerata stated. “He is fit, but we are just waiting on his decision if he is interested, which will be a boost for the team.”

Hayne was released from prison in June after his conviction was overturned on appeal, and he has been training with sprinting coach Roger Fabri in preparation for a return to professional sports.

“Jarryd is an elite athlete,” Fabri commented. “He is someone you can never, ever disregard when he puts his mind to something.”

However, the possibility of Hayne playing for Fiji could be complicated and controversial, as he currently does not hold an NRL contract. He would need the ARL Commission’s approval in order to participate in the Pacific Championships.

Hayne has previously represented both Fiji and Australia on the international rugby stage and played Rugby Sevens for Fiji in 2016, making him a valuable addition to the team.
