Fiji heavyweight boxer James ‘The Beast’ Singh is gearing up to dedicate his upcoming title fight to his two sons, who have been instrumental in his boxing journey. Singh will face Semi Dauloloma on Saturday at the Vodafone Arena in Suva, competing for the Fijian Heavyweight Title and the Leweni Waqa Memorial Belt.

Reflecting on his family support, Singh remarked that his sons wake up at 4 am daily to assist him with training, saying, “They have been the backbone of my success. I was just a street kid in Suva. Boxing has given me the name I have today.” He also honored his wife, Manisha Singh, for being a steady source of strength throughout his career.

This bout will be their fourth encounter in the ring, with each fighter securing a win in their previous matchups, the last ending in a double disqualification. Singh promises an exciting match, expressing hope that Dauloloma has been training hard. “I hope he was faithful to his training. If he wasn’t, he should be worried,” Singh commented.

The significance of the heavyweight title is profound for Singh, who stated, “It means everything to me. I have kept it for so long that I can’t imagine my life without it.” He is calling on fans to support him, hinting that this might be his final fight.

The main event of the boxing promotion will feature Junior Binnu Singh taking on China’s Runqi Zhou for the WBA Oceania Super Bantamweight title, adding to an exciting lineup of local boxing talent.

This upcoming fight represents not only the culmination of Singh’s hard work and dedication but also highlights the importance of family and community support in an athlete’s journey. It’s a reminder of how personal relationships can inspire and motivate individuals to strive for greatness in their careers.
