YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul emerged victorious against former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, winning by unanimous decision in an eight-round heavyweight bout at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The judges scored the match 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73 in favor of Paul.

The match, approved by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, featured 2-minute rounds, with both fighters donning 14-ounce gloves instead of the standard 10-ounce gloves used in heavyweight contests. Tyson, at 58 years old, faced Paul, 27, after their scheduled fight on July 20 was postponed due to Tyson needing medical attention for an ulcer flare-up.

Mike Tyson holds an impressive record of 50 wins, 7 losses, and 44 knockouts, and made history as the youngest heavyweight champion at 20 years old in 1986, later unifying all three major belts to become the undisputed champion. Despite facing setbacks, including a historic upset loss to James “Buster” Douglas in 1990, Tyson remains a celebrated figure in boxing.

Jake Paul, with a record of 11 wins, 1 loss, and 7 knockouts, began his boxing career in 2020 and quickly made a name for himself by fighting primarily former MMA fighters. His only defeat came against Tommy Fury in February 2023, but he has since rebounded with five consecutive victories, solidifying his position in the boxing world with this triumph over Tyson.

This bout signifies not only a notable achievement for Paul but also a testament to Tyson’s enduring legacy in the sport. As both fighters continue to push the boundaries of boxing, fans are left eagerly anticipating their future endeavors in the ring.
