JACK’S of Fiji, a well-known brand under the Jacks group of companies, has announced a significant two-year sponsorship partnership with the Tailevu Rugby Football Union (TRFU). This collaboration marks a pivotal moment for both organizations and emphasizes their shared commitment to enhancing the rugby culture in Fiji.

After over two months of fruitful negotiations, the partnership focuses on strengthening grassroots rugby, enhancing player welfare, and creating sustainable pathways for the sport within Tailevu Province. During the official signing ceremony, Jason Kumar, marketing officer for the Jacks group, expressed his excitement about the partnership, which aligns perfectly with the company’s deep-rooted values and commitment to community development through sports.

Kumar noted, “Tailevu, with its rich rugby heritage and strong community ties, is an ideal partner, and we believe this collaboration will significantly contribute to the growth and sustainability of provincial rugby.” He underscored that the partnership transcends typical branding and merchandising, spotlighting a commitment to transparency, performance, and measurable community benefits.

The sponsorship includes support for official apparel, merchandise, and financial backing, along with a unique royalties-based merchandise model designed to create sustainable revenue for the Union. Joseph Rodan Snr, president of the Tailevu Rugby Football Union, praised the agreement as a major enhancement to the Union’s operational capabilities and strategic goals.

“We are grateful to Jacks of Fiji for this landmark partnership,” said Rodan. “Collaborating with a respected Fijian brand that shares our vision for grassroots development, strong governance, and long-term sustainability is truly an honor.”

He further explained that this support will directly benefit players, clubs, and officials as they gear up for key provincial competitions, including the Skipper Cup and Farebrother Trophy. Most importantly, it will bolster investments in youth development and support the village-based clubs that are essential to the foundation of Tailevu rugby.

This partnership presents a hopeful future for the sport in Fiji, enhancing community engagement and ensuring that rugby continues to thrive at the grassroots level.
