Gurjit Singh’s coached USA Island Boys have advanced to the semifinals of the Over 40s category at the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup in Sydney. In the quarterfinals, they triumphed over Labasa with a score of 2-1.
Labasa took the lead in the first half with a goal from Deepak Chand. However, the Island Boys made a strong comeback, with Viren Singh equalizing midway through the second half. Lawrence Dutt then secured their victory with a well-executed strike.
