Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne has expressed his confidence in Isaiah Armstrong Ravula as he takes on the fullback role in today’s Pacific Nations Cup semifinal against the USA. Byrne believes that Ravula’s background as a fly-half will be advantageous in his new position.
“Isaiah is a talented young player. Coming from the number 10 position, he understands what playmakers are looking for, which allows him to anticipate and occupy space effectively,” Byrne stated.
He noted that Ravula’s ability to read the game would be crucial in his transition to fullback. “He’s really enjoying the freedom at the back, and he’s been doing a great job so far,” Byrne added.
The coach also mentioned that the team is in high spirits and fully prepared for the upcoming challenge, appreciating the support from fans nationwide. “The team feels the love, and we’re completely ready to give it our all tomorrow,” concluded Byrne.
