The Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Nalumisa, is urging business owners in Nasinu to invest in their communities and support local initiatives to foster a socially cohesive environment. Speaking at the inauguration of the 2024 Nasinu Festival last Saturday, Mr. Nalumisa emphasized the critical role businesses can play in driving this transformation.
He highlighted the importance of collective effort for a brighter future. “Investing in our community, creating jobs, and supporting local initiatives helps to construct a town that is both economically vibrant and socially united,” he stated.
Mr. Nalumisa expressed optimism that with ongoing support from local businesses, Nasinu Town could thrive and serve as “a beacon of hope,” showcasing the potential achievements of a united community. He called for the development of a town where no one is marginalized, ensuring that every child, youth, woman, and elder has the opportunity to succeed.
He concluded with a vision for Nasinu as a city characterized not only by economic prosperity but also by compassion, unity, and a shared sense of purpose.
