Police are investigating an alleged break-in involving former Prime Minister Mahendra Chaudhry’s vehicle at the Fiji Labour Party headquarters in Suva. The investigation commenced after FLP administrators filed an official report.

According to a social media post by the FLP, the rear window of Mr. Chaudhry’s vehicle was broken, suggesting an attempt to search for money. The statement mentioned that a police report has been submitted and fingerprints have been collected, which investigators believe belong to young individuals.

In light of the incident, Mr. Chaudhry urged the public to be vigilant regarding their belongings. He warned that the crime rate seems to be increasing as the festive season approaches.
