Michaelle Fong, the head girl and top student at St Anne’s Primary School, delivered an inspiring message during the school’s recent prize-giving ceremony. Fong emphasized the importance of not merely measuring success by achievements, but by how we use our experiences to support and uplift others.

During the event, Fong reflected on her time at the school with humility and gratitude. She reminded her fellow graduates of the journey they’ve all taken together, acknowledging the community’s role in their individual and collective growth.

In her address, she offered valuable advice to younger students, encouraging them to be kind and to recognize their limitless potential. “Success is not defined by perfection but by perseverance and the willingness to learn,” she stated. She urged students to embrace every opportunity for learning and personal growth, reminding them that all experiences contribute to who they will become.

Fong also expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the teachers and parents who supported her and her classmates throughout their academic year. She encouraged students to have confidence in their educators and to seek help whenever necessary, highlighting the role of parental support in their achievements.

As Fong prepares to transition into the next phase of her education, she inspired her classmates to carry forward the values of humility and gratitude. She believes that true success is found in the willingness to help others and foster a sense of community.

Fong’s achievements during the prize-giving included several accolades such as the Year 8 first place award, the Religion award, and recognition for the highest marks in English and Social Science, alongside leadership and dux awards.

This celebration reflects not only Fong’s individual accomplishments but also the strength of community support in fostering future leaders. Her encouraging words serve as a reminder to all students that their journey is not solely about personal success but also about contributing positively to the lives of others.
