A 38-year-old woman captured the spotlight during the graduation ceremony at Fiji National University, held at the Vodafone Arena, where her husband proudly supported her while she received her award. Monisha Mamta Rao, a mother of three who lives with a physical disability, experienced a profound moment of pride when her name was announced from the podium.

After a year of studious dedication in Labasa, Ms. Rao was honored as one of only two recipients of the National Training and Productivity Centre Excellence Award for her Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management. “There is nothing about me without me — this quote motivates me to keep moving forward,” she shared. Ms. Rao credits her family’s unwavering support as a crucial factor in her success, stating, “Without their understanding and support, I wouldn’t have made it this far.”
