Discipline and passion have driven Muizz Mujib Buksh to impressive heights, earning him several prestigious awards during the prizegiving ceremony at Vunimoli Islamia College (VIC) on Wednesday. As the head boy of VIC in Labasa, Muizz received the Leadership Award, achieved the highest mark in Agricultural Science, secured an athletics award, and received special recognition for his contributions to the school’s football team.
A year 13 student, Muizz boasts an outstanding athletic record, including winning gold in the 3000 meters at the Macuata athletics zone two competition and competing in the 3000m final at the Coca-Cola Games. He attributes his success in managing academics and sports to the valuable guidance from his parents.
Muizz firmly believes that “nothing is impossible” and aims to inspire his fellow students to pursue their dreams and contribute to the school’s pride, echoing his achievements in athletics and leadership. He expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from his teachers, parents, and classmates while sharing his ambition of becoming a veterinarian.
“I have applied to enroll at Massey University in New Zealand to pursue my tertiary education next year,” he stated. With his determination and diverse talents, Muizz Mujib Buksh serves as a role model for students who aspire to strike a balance between ambition and responsibility.
