Lautoka’s first-choice goalkeeper, Viliame Tabucala, is doubtful for their Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice-Cream Battle of the Giants semifinal clash against Rewa today.
Tabucala sustained an injury during Lautoka’s group match against Navua and will undergo a final medical review today.
If declared unfit, 19-year-old Epeli Vunibola will start the critical match.
Lautoka President Shalendra Prasad notes that the Blues expect a challenging match against the Delta Tigers.
“We are aware of Rewa, they are a structured side with experienced players, but we trained well and we’ll give them an equal contention,” he said.
Additionally, Captain Sitiveni Cavuilagi will miss the semifinal after receiving a red card against Navua last Sunday.
