Chay Fihaki, a player from the Crusaders, has been added to the All Blacks squad as a replacement for the injured Jordie Barrett ahead of the second Bledisloe Cup Test against Australia in Wellington. Barrett, who serves as the centre and vice-captain, has been sidelined due to a knee injury affecting his medial collateral ligament (MCL).
Fihaki, 23, made his debut in Super Rugby Pacific in 2021 under coach Scott Robertson and has showcased his versatility by playing both on the wing and at fullback. In the 2024 season with the Crusaders, he scored four tries in 14 matches.
The All Blacks are set to face the Wallabies at 7:05 PM this Saturday at Sky Sports Stadium in Wellington.
