Fiji-born winger Marika Koroibete will miss the Wallabies’ upcoming Bledisloe Cup match due to a wrist injury he sustained during the team’s 31-28 defeat to the All Blacks in Sydney last week. The injury has reportedly worsened during travel to New Zealand, causing swelling.
Koroibete’s absence allows Dylan Pietsch to step into the starting role, marking his debut start for the Wallabies. Furthermore, Jake Gordon will return as the starting scrumhalf, replacing Nic White, who started in the previous match.
These changes come as Australia aims to end a 23-year wait for a victory against the All Blacks in New Zealand.
The Wallabies’ lineup for Bledisloe II includes: Angus Bell, Matt Faessler, Taniela Tupou, Nick Frost, Jeremy Williams, Rob Valetini, Fraser McReight, Harry Wilson (captain), Jake Gordon, Noah Lolesio, Dylan Pietsch, Hunter Paisami, Len Ikitau, Andrew Kellaway, and Tom Wright. The reserves consist of Brandon Paenga-Amosa, Isaac Kailea, Allan Alaalatoa, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto, Langi Gleeson, Tate McDermott, Ben Donaldson, and Josh Flook.
