Leader of the Opposition, Inia Seruiratu, announced today that he will serve as an Independent Member of Parliament for the rest of the Parliamentary term. Speaking to the media, Seruiratu mentioned that former FijiFirst MPs are free to make their own decisions regarding their political affiliations.
Seruiratu assured that his Caucus (Opposition) will continue to fulfill its duties of holding the Government accountable and ensuring that services are effectively delivered to the Fijian people. He also stated that his members have until July 15 to decide on their future directions, and he will respect whatever decisions they make about their political careers.
