Colonel Eko Pur Indriyanto, the newly appointed Indonesian defence attaché to Fiji, recently made an official courtesy visit to the Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Major-General Ro Jone Kalouniwai, on December 11, 2024. This visit took place at the Strategic Headquarters in Berkley Crescent.
Upon his arrival, Colonel Indriyanto was honored with a quarter guard ceremony before engaging in an official meeting with the Fijian military leadership. As part of his visit, he also met with Brigadier General Onisivoro Covunisaqa, the Commander of Land Forces, at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks in Nabua. This visit represents Colonel Indriyanto’s first official engagement since taking on his role.
This diplomatic interaction underscores the significance of military cooperation between Indonesia and Fiji, promoting mutual understanding and collaboration in defense matters. Such meetings can foster stronger ties and enhance security partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.
