The Republic of Fiji Military Forces, along with the U.S. Army, is hosting the 48th annual Indo-Pacific Army Management Seminar (IPAMS) and the 10th annual Senior Enlisted Forum (SELF) at the Sofitel Resort on Denarau Island in Nadi.
This three-day event is recognized as the largest conference for land forces, including the Army and Marines, in the region. The main aim of IPAMS is to foster peace and stability throughout the Indo-Pacific region by encouraging mutual understanding, dialogue, and friendship. It provides a platform for senior officers to share views, ideas, and to enhance their relationships.
This year’s theme is “Joint & Combined Operations in the Indo-Pacific Region.” The conference will comprise plenary sessions as well as smaller break-out discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to listen to esteemed guest speakers and engage in dynamic discussions covering topics such as peacekeeping operations, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, leadership development, and climate change.
IPAMS is recognized as the largest and longest-running land forces conference in the Indo-Pacific region.
