India and Fiji Forge New Alliances with Major Infrastructure Projects

Indian President Droupadi Murmu departed the country yesterday afternoon with land lease agreements pertaining to two upcoming projects in Fiji.

The first lease is for a 100 Bed Super Specialty Cardiology Hospital in Suva, while the second involves the Indian High Commission Chancery and Indian Cultural Centre Complex, also located in Suva.

A government statement highlighted that the execution of these projects signifies a new phase in the diplomatic relations between Fiji and India. The establishment of the cardiology hospital is expected to significantly enhance healthcare services in Fiji, providing specialized medical and cardiology care accessible to local residents and the broader Pacific region.

Additionally, the development of the Indian High Commission Chancery and Cultural Centre Complex is anticipated to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote further cooperation between the two countries.
