Three men are set to appear in Suva Magistrates Court today, facing charges related to drug possession and serious assault stemming from a recent operation in Nadonumai.
This action follows a successful drug bust conducted by a collaborative task force that included members from the Criminal Investigations Department, Police Mobile Force, Fiji Detector Dog Unit, and divisional operations, earlier this week.
The first suspect, who is 29 years old, has been charged with one count of possession of illicit drugs, while the other two suspects, aged 27 and 23, each face a charge of serious assault. The case is anticipated to be addressed later this afternoon.
This enforcement action highlights the ongoing commitment of law enforcement in Fiji to combat drug-related crimes and ensure community safety. The collaboration of various police units illustrates a unified approach to tackling crime, which is positive for local residents seeking a safer environment.
