Hunger Strike Ends: Inmates’ Health Under Scrutiny

The Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission has announced that it is probing the situation involving two inmates at the Naboro Maximum Corrections facility who recently engaged in a hunger strike.

A team from the Commission visited the inmates and noted their issues. In a statement, the Commission revealed that they were informed by the Fiji Corrections Service that the hunger strike was concluded last night. Furthermore, the inmates have received a medical evaluation to assess their health status.
