A violent confrontation outside a well-known nightclub in Suva has resulted in six individuals being hospitalized, two of whom remain unconscious. Authorities have reported that these individuals are receiving care at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva, alongside a third person who is currently in stable condition.
Moreover, three other victims have been treated at the Sigatoka Hospital, and all are reported to be in stable condition. It is believed that some of the individuals involved in the altercation are affiliated with a Rugby League club from Sigatoka, which held its awards night in Suva the previous evening.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, has stated that the police force in the Central Division is actively investigating the incident and is in the process of apprehending those involved.
This incident highlights the importance of community safety, particularly during events that attract large crowds. It is hopeful that the ongoing police efforts will lead to a resolution and that those affected will recover swiftly.
