Another heartbreaking case involves Peniana Masuciri Vadei, who was just 18 when she vanished from Maui Bay while on a family holiday on September 7, 2022. Her family has endured a prolonged period of uncertainty despite extensive searches. Similarly, Talei Kuta Raikadroka, who was only three years old when she went missing from Kalekana in Lami, remains unaccounted for.
Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu confirms that these ongoing cases remain active. “The cases are being handled by the cold case team,” he stated, highlighting the importance of continued efforts in resolving such tragedies.
