Honoring Excellence: Fiji Police Medal Presentation Ceremony Highlights Resilience

Acting Commissioner of Police, Juki Fong Chew, praised the hard work and dedication of officers in the Western Division during a medal presentation at the Girmit Center in Lautoka. He recognized the numerous challenges faced by the division over the past year and emphasized the importance of resilience in overcoming obstacles. “We have our good days and bad days, but we continue to march on, never allowing the negatives to bring us down,” Chew stated, highlighting the role of strong leadership in maintaining progress within the police force.

He expressed gratitude to all who supported him during his tenure as Acting Commissioner and also extended his thanks to retired officers for their ongoing contributions to the police organization.

In recognition of their service, a total of 188 officers and retirees received the Fiji Police Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, while 69 individuals were honored with the Fiji Police Medal.

This event not only celebrates the achievements of the police force but also reinforces the commitment of its members to serve the community diligently, fostering a sense of unity and purpose within the organization. The acknowledgment of hard work and dedication serves as a motivating factor for current and future officers, instilling a sense of pride in their contributions to public safety.
