Mosese Tuimatai, a recipient of the Baton of Honour from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School, emphasized the importance of living with discipline for long-term benefits. The 18-year-old, hailing from Maumi Village in Bau, Tailevu, expressed his surprise upon receiving the award, noting that he is the first in his family to reach Year 13.
He attributed his values to lessons instilled by his father since childhood. “Listening to our parents is crucial,” Mosese stated. He highlighted the role of the cadet training programme in fostering self-discipline, which he believes is essential for students. He extended his gratitude to the teachers and the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces for their training.
With aspirations of becoming a marine engineer, Mosese shared his appreciation for God and his family, whom he considers his biggest supporters. “Receiving the Baton of Honour is both a happy and gratitude-filled experience for me,” he added.
