Two men, aged 29 and 27, have been charged with aggravated robbery following an alleged break-in at a home in Tamavua that occurred on October 30. During the incident, the duo reportedly entered the residence of a 46-year-old man, stealing cash, a mobile phone, and other personal belongings before fleeing the scene.
The two suspects were apprehended last week and appeared in Suva Magistrates Court on November 4, where they were ordered to remain in custody until their next court date on November 18.
This incident underscores the persistent efforts by law enforcement to combat the increasing number of home invasions in the region. Authorities are actively working to enhance safety measures within communities, striving to protect residents and curb such criminal activities.
As communities come together to address these challenges, there is hope that increased vigilance and collaborative efforts between residents and law enforcement can foster a safer environment for everyone.
