Holy Cross College U15: Fans Travel Far for Historic Quarter-Final Showdown!

The Holy Cross College U15 team drew a large crowd of supporters, who traveled from Taveuni for their quarter-final match against Suva Grammar School in Suva yesterday. Buckhurst Park was filled with vibrant green as fans sported their school t-shirts.

Parent Asenca Bogitolu mentioned that they arrived on the mainland on Wednesday and are currently accommodated at the Vatuwaqa parish. “We are ecstatic that Holy Cross College has reached the Dean’s quarter-finals for the first time,” Bogitolu said. “This achievement is significant for us.”

Bogitolu expressed gratitude for the support the team has received throughout the tournament, noting the encouragement during their preparation. “We faced several challenges, but we are thankful for the support, especially from our alumni. Fundraisers and Kava barrels played a vital role in helping us reach this point. We coordinated our t-shirts to show our support, and regardless of the outcome, we are proud to have made it to the quarter-finals.”
