Police have made significant seizures of substances believed to be marijuana across all five policing divisions, thanks to improved information-sharing efforts.

In Savusavu, five suspects were arrested during raids after they were allegedly found with dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
In the Central Division in Suva, a man in his 50s was apprehended at a carrier stand when he was reportedly found in possession of similar dried leaves.
Along Mead Road in Nabua, a man in his 20s was arrested after police discovered multiple sachets containing dried leaves, a plastic zip-lock bag with seeds believed to be marijuana, and another bag containing white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine.
In Sigatoka town, an 18-year-old was also arrested for possession of over 50 dried branches and loose leaves thought to be marijuana.
ACP Driu emphasized that divisional police operations will focus on increasing school and community awareness. He stated that the enhanced sharing of information significantly supports law enforcement’s efforts in reducing supply.
