The Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2024 is poised to be a landmark event, attracting an unprecedented number of attendees. Scheduled for this Saturday at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort, the ceremony looks to highlight a night filled with celebration, recognition, and inspiration within the business community.
Organized by Investment Fiji, the PMIBA stands as the premier business awards event in the country, aimed at recognizing excellence, innovation, and sustainability across various industries. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka emphasized that these awards honor those who have faced challenges head-on and taken the lead in promoting progress towards a more sustainable future.
This year’s theme, “Innovation & Sustainability,” aims to acknowledge and reward businesses of all sizes that have effectively reshaped their strategies with a focus on long-term sustainability. A remarkable total of 249 applications have been submitted for the awards, indicating a vibrant business landscape committed to excellence.
Notably, this year introduces four new categories: the Employer of the Year Award, the Excellence in Fisheries Award, the Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award, bringing the total categories to 15.
