FBC Sports and FBC TV are set to make history this weekend by broadcasting the Vodafone Deans and Weet-Bix Raluve semifinals live on television for the first time ever, showcasing a total of 13 matches, including several Raluve games. Prior to this development, only the semifinals held at the main ground were aired.

As of now, the semifinals are booked for Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. Should the venue be switched to the HFC Stadium in Suva, it will not affect the live broadcast schedule. If the matches are held in Sigatoka as planned, viewers will be treated to live coverage from ground two as well. Conversely, if the games move to Suva, this change would allow for the semifinals at Buckhurst Park to be televised for the first time.

The Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union (FSSRU) is expected to confirm the venue for the semifinals following their meeting this afternoon, reflecting their ongoing adaptability to logistical challenges while ensuring competitive integrity across the tournament.

This increased visibility through live broadcasts enhances community engagement and allows fans, both locally and overseas, to connect more significantly with youth rugby in Fiji. The positive shift towards providing comprehensive coverage of youth sports is seen as vital in inspiring unity and pride within the rugby community, ultimately benefiting the athletes involved.

The semifinals promise an exciting lineup, reflecting growing enthusiasm for the sport among young players and their supporters. Fans are encouraged to rally behind their teams as this historic event unfolds, marking an important chapter in Fiji’s sporting landscape.
