The Fiji Media Council and the Fijian Media Association proudly reintroduced the Fiji Media Hall of Fame at the FAME Awards 2025, held on December 6 in Suva, marking a significant milestone after a 17-year hiatus. This ceremony recognized five prominent figures who have profoundly influenced the Fijian media landscape across various platforms including print, radio, and television.

As the event unfolded, emotional tributes were shared, with the audience honoring the legacies of these media pioneers, which marked one of the most poignant moments in the history of Fijian journalism. The occasion was underscored by the presence of ten esteemed editors, media CEOs, and Fiji Media Council members, who formed an Honour Guard to signify the unity and leadership within Fiji’s media sector.
