Hilton Unveils Ambitious $75M Development in Fiji

Paul Hutton, area vice president and head of Australasia at Hilton Asia Pacific, announced the addition of the Hilton Garden Inn Fiji, developed by Carpenters Group Fiji, to Hilton’s existing hotel portfolio in Australasia. The first phase of this $75 million project was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Biman Prasad on Thursday.

Situated along the Suva foreshore, the completion of this initial phase is scheduled for August 2025. Hutton noted that the new hotel will complement Hilton’s current offerings in Fiji, which include the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort and Spa and the DoubleTree Hilton Sonaisali in Nadi.

“This new project brings the number of Hilton Garden Inn developments to 60 currently in progress, with plans to significantly increase the brand’s footprint across Australasia over the next five years,” Hutton stated.

Upon completion, the Hilton Garden Inn Suva will feature 178 rooms, along with a restaurant, bar, gym, and pool. It will also introduce over 40,000 square feet of retail, entertainment, and dining space, along with more than 50,000 square meters designated for commercial and hotel use, representing a significant waterfront development.

Hutton emphasized that Hilton is experiencing rapid growth, boasting over 1,000 Hilton Garden Inn locations across 62 countries worldwide.
